Now that the summer heat is upon us the pool is ready to cool you down. May 24th marks the opening of the pool at the club and many of our younger members jumped in for a quick cool off. The Tiger Sharks swim team is also practicing dilegently in anticipation for their first meet on Wednesday, June 4th.
For the rest of the family beginning June 1st the pools side snack bar stay open later to fill you up with your favorite food and beverages. We look forward to seeing you at the club this summer. Be sure to check the calendar for exciting family nights throughout the summer.
Tigers Sharks Swimming to Victory
The Timberlane Tiger Sharks season is in full stride. They have completed four meets so far this year and hold a 3 - 1 record. Their next meet will be held July, 9th at English Turn. The kids continue to practice throughout the week. We want to thank Miss Emily Gore and all the volunteers for supporting the Tiger Sharks.
On May 13th the LGA concluded the 54 Hole Ladies Championship. Ms. Lilian Wood captured the top spot followed by Ms Deen Hart one stroke back in the Championship flight. Ms. Shirley Umbach and Ms. Pauline Colomb finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the Handicap division and Ms. Audrey Richoux won the title for Low Putts.
On May the 20th our Ladies Golf Association met to elect new officers. Ms. Pauline Colomb was elected President, serving as Vice President is Ms. Donna Ward. Ms. Deen Hart will serve as Treasurer and Ms. Dorothy Toomy as Sectrary. The Sports Chairladies are Ms. Audrey Richoux and Ms. Janice Boudreaux.
Summer Dinner Specials
Come spend time at the club this summer and enjoy our Summer Dinner Specials. On Fridays in June the kitchen
will prepare a wonderful three course meal starting with your choice of Baked Oysters, Stuffed Mushrooms or Thai Chicken Bites followed by your choice of soup or salad.
The main course will be your choice of Blackened Mahi Mahi, Shrimp Primavera Pasta, or Double Cut Pork Chop. The chef's choice of dessert and a smooth cup of coffee will finish off a wonderful meal.
