Timberlane offers Summer Activities for the Entire Family
With the summer right around now is the time to come to the club. There is always something to do at the club during the summer, with swimming, tennis and golf all summer long. Our golf pros are gearing up for another summer full of activities for the kids with camps for our Futures
masters (Ages 6 - 9) and the Junior Tour (Ages 10 & Up). While the driving range will be buzzing with activity with golf Demo Days in June. The tennis courts will be full as well as everyone gets in the swing. The tennis pros will offer camps as well. If golf and tennis is not your thing you can always stay cool by the pool. Once again our kids can have fun and compete with the Tiger Sharks Swim Team. The Timberlane Men’s Golf Association recently held the annual Men’s Club Championship. This 36 Hole event tested over 40 members on Saturday April 19th and Sunday April 20th. All participants were greeted on the first tee by our PGA staff and the tee times announced. Mr. Phil Daigle won the championship flight with a score of 156 followed by Mr Mark Rose (163) and Mr. John Kemp (164). The Open flight was won by first time participant Mr. Joel Barras with a net score of 140 followed by new member Mr. Mike McGowen (141 Net) who won a chip off with Mr. Tony Wood. Mr. Harry “Hotsie” Dufrene took the Senior division (138) by 2 shots Mr. Donnie Simpson (140) thanks to a hole in one on number 12 on Saturday. Long time member Mr. Leo Babin won the Super Senior flight with a net score of 136 while Mr. Carlos Corino (146) took second. The winners will be recognized at the Member Guest Dinner on Saturday, May 17th.
